Compensation: Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The hourly base pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00 per hour.

Work Schedule: The work schedule for this position is 9AM-5:30PM / Monday - Friday .

Benefits: Employees are eligible to enroll in accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, and telemedicine benefits. Employees are also able to enroll in the company’s 401k retirement savings plan.

Eligibility requirements depend on your job classification, length of employment and number of hours worked. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

SUMMARY

The Associate Trainer is responsible for the execution of training and the successful on boarding and orientation of new GSAs and GSCs. Working under the direction of the Account Manager, the Associate Trainer is responsible for the execution of training and the successful onboarding and orientation of new hires in field hourly positions.

Descriptive Statement(s) - % of Time

Coordinate with Account Manager to schedule and lead all training sessions for new Associates. Trains new Associates on the following: 

  • On the Job Training Days 1, 2, and 3. Assists Associate to log in to MyCareer to complete required virtual trainings- i.e., Off to the Right Start, Handbook, Timekeeping Trainings and Code of Ethics. Conducts other pertinent training as assigned by Manager.-40%
  • Maintains accurate and complete records of new hire training and submits to Account Manager for upload into Towne Park’s HRIS system, aka Workday. Schedules and leads periodic classroom New Hire Orientation sessions for new Associates.-20%
  • Facilitates sessions of Certified Trainer Program for new Associate Trainers. Assists Account Manager in monthly training at site, such as Safety and Service re-certifications.-20%
  • Executes a "check for understanding" to ensure Associate has mastered this/her onboarding information using verbal quiz and observation and submits these results to the Account Manager, HR Manager or Regional Trainer. Sends daily recaps of any training conducted to the Account Manager via email. Completes other training projects as assigned by Account Manager or other District or Regional leadership.-20%

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Required Licensure, Certification, etc.:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a criminal background, MVR and drug screen.
  • Must complete the Wheelchair Safety Training course provided by Towne Park.
  • Must complete Certified Trainer Program (Certification Process)
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) months experience in a valet position with proven knowledge of all aspects of the position including policies and procedures

Knowledge:

  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of the valet positions.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups.

Skills:

  • Must be able to drive manual transmission.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write Standard English language.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Must be able to write simple correspondence.
  • Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and associates.
  • Must be able to apply reasoning and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Mathematical Skills.
  • Must be able to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s; must be able to perform these operations using units of American money.
  • Must be able to understand 24 hour and military time systems.
  • Must be able to clearly understand rates applicable to time passed.
  • A proven valet track record of being courteous, having a sense of urgency, and maintaining a high level of safety in the Valet capacity
  • Reliable transportation to and from work and client sites

Authority to Act:

  • Job is fairly routine. Incumbent follows established practices and procedures. Duties are performed with specific directions given and work is checked or verified on a frequent basis. Decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

Budget Responsibility:

  • The employee has control over resources available only.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Lifting Requirements

Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Working Environment

The majority of work will be performed outdoors for extended periods of time including up to the entire duration of shift. Employees are subject to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold weather. Protection from weather conditions may be provided, but not necessarily from temperature changes.

Travel

Travel of up to 5% may be required.
